The availability of people with the right skills considered the greatest threat to business

TORONTO, CANADA, August 2018

While disruptive technology is often voiced as the greatest threat facing business, the latest study from Modus Research revealed that, in fact, Canadian managers and executives considered the availability of the right people as posing the greatest potential disruption. In terms of potential threat, technology was rated equally with financial markets, changing consumer preferences and new competition.

These results came from a survey conducted August, 2018 amongst 769 managers and executives from the Modus Business panel, the only fully representative and randomly sampled panel of all managers and executives across Canada. The results have been weighted by organization size and region and are accurate to within 4% points 95 times out of a 100.

Established in 2012, Modus Research is a full-service research agency that provides clients with actionable feedback from Canadian enterprises based on truly representative samples.
